Relay's are addicting...

So I traveled to two random locations two weekends in a row because I am addicted to relay races. I love the team atmosphere and they are so much fun! Race number one, shown above was held down in Moab. It was called the Moab backside relay. We ran the backside of Moab on the LaSal Mountains... really high elevations and some monster up and down hills, but a great time!! It was similar to the Ragnar, but on a smaller scale. We just had six runners (1 van) and we each only ran twice. My legs added up to just under 10 miles. Not bad! It was around 50 miles total and our team took 6th over all! We also came in first for the all women teams. We already planned to sign up again next year. It was so much fun.

Relay number two was the following weekend and was a little more intense. I flew with 5 other friends and colleagues from Utah to New York to run the New York Ragnar. I have done the Wasatch Back Relay race in Utah twice now, and we decided we wanted to do one in a different location. My mileage added up to about 15 miles this time, but we were basically at sea level, so the breathing was great. We ran from Woodstock to the city and finished at the Hudson. Great times!

My next relay is in September... Marathon relay... can't wait!
